strip tags from HTML file

SYNOPSIS

htstrip [-h] [file...]


DESCRIPTION

The htstrip utility removes HTML tags from one or more files. The files to be stripped are specified on the command line. If no files are specified, htstrip reads input from the standard input and strips that input of HTML tags.

The stripped output from htstrip is written to standard output, meaning it can be displayed, redirected to another file, or piped into another command.

Options

-h 

displays help information.


DIAGNOSTICS

Possible exit status values are:

0 

Successful completion.

1 

An error occurred.

2 

A usage error (for example, an invalid command option) occurred or help information was requested with the -h option.
