zipsplit - split a zipfile into smaller zipfiles

SYNOPSIS

zipsplit [-hipstvL] [-n file] [-r room] [-b path] file[.zip]


DESCRIPTION

zipsplit reads a zipfile and splits it into smaller zipfiles.

Arguments

file[.zip

Zipfile to split.

Options

-b path 

Use path for the output zip files.

-h 

Show a short help.

-i 

Make index (zipsplit.idx) and count its size against first zip file.

-n room 

Leave room for room bytes on the first disk (default = 0).

-p 

Pause between output zip files.

-s size 

Make zip files no larger than size (default = 36000).

-s 

Do a sequential split even if it takes more zip files.

-t 

Report how many files it will take, but don't make them.

-v 

lists zipfile information in verbose, multi-page format.

-v 

Show version information.

-L 

Show software license.

BUGS

Does not yet support large (> 2 GB) or split archives.

zipinfo is also available other systems including MSDOS, OS/2, Minix, Atari, Macintosh, Amiga, and Acorn RISC OS.
