int posix_spawnattr_getschedpolicy(const posix_spawnattr_t *restrict attr, int *restrict schedpolicy);

int posix_spawnattr_setschedpolicy(posix_spawnattr_t *restrict attr, int schedpolicy);

DESCRIPTION

The posix_spawnattr_getschedpolicy() function retrieves the value of the spawn-schedpolicy attribute from the attr spawn attributes object. The retrieved value is stored in the object pointed to by schedpolicy.

The posix_spawnattr_setschedpolicy() function sets the spawn-schedpolicy attribute in an initialized spawn attributes object pointed to by attr. The schedpolicy argument points to the value used for setting the attribute.

The spawn-schedpolicy attribute indicates the scheduling policy to be assigned to a new process image created by a spawn operation (when POSIX_SPAWN_SETSCHEDULER is set in the spawn-flags attribute).

PARAMETERS

attr 

Points to a spawn attributes object.

schedpolicy 

Points to the value retrieved by posix_spawnattr_getschedpolicy() or to the value to be assigned to the spawn-schedpolicy attribute by posix_spawnattr_setschedpolicy().

RETURN VALUES

On success, posix_spawnattr_getschedpolicy() and posix_spawnattr_setschedpolicy() return 0. Additionally, posix_spawnattr_getschedpolicy() places the value retrieved from the spawn-schedpolicy attribute of the attr spawn attributes object in the object pointed to by schedpolicy.

Otherwise, one of the following error numbers is returned:

EINVAL 

The attr or schedpolicy arguments contains an invalid value.

ENOSYS 

The requested action could not be performed.

PORTING ISSUES

These functions are provided only to ease the porting of applications from UNIX systems to Windows systems. Calls to these functions always fail with a return value of ENOSYS.
