The Toolkit tape utilities recognize names in the form /dev/mtX as tape devices. The letter X is a number starting at zero and corresponding to the order in which tape drives are connected to your system. So for the first or only tape drive use /dev/mt0. You can also use the name /dev/nmtX if you do not want the tape to be rewound at the end of the operation. |
